TEAM BUILDING & CONSENSUS DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

OVERVIEW
This program is designed to assist in tact work groups awareness of team dynamics, and how they operate within the group. Additionally it will build skills and competencies that optimize team synergy and effectiveness, teaching participants how to solve problems and build consensus together. The program can be offered in two hour modules in accordance with the recommended schedule and sequence detailed below.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

• To enable participants to identify areas of interdependence and common interests appropriate for directing team efforts.

• To develop behaviors promoting team synergy through awareness of team member skills, preferences, styles and abilities.

• To develop team member skills in the use of consensus building methods.

 

FORMAT: Lecturette, Experiential exercises
LENGTH: One/Two 2 hour segments

Module 1: TEAM DEFINITION: DEVELOPING A FOCUS FOR TEAM EFFORTS
Designed to help participants identify the areas of interdependence required for team work.

Module 2: DEVELOPING TEAM SYNERGY
Emphasis placed on developing an appreciation and understanding of different methods, approaches and environments.

Module 3: DEVELOPING CONSENSUS BUILDING & GROUP PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
Designed to help develop and reinforce skills to assist the group in using their enhanced “team consciousness” in actual problem solving.
